KSF hosted our fourth annual Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) Oral Health Fair at Central Presbyterian Church, 46 Park Street, Montclair, NJ. Children up to age 12 years were invited to enjoy free dental exams, prophylaxis (teeth cleaning) and topical fluoride treatment. The Red Cross Awards Gala honored Dr. McGrath and others to express gratitude for their contributions to the Community.

Eight happy honorees and two honorary chairs pause in the festivities at the 14th annual Red Cross Awards Gala, held at Mayfair Farms in West Orange on Feb. 12. Honored for their community service were Michael Winchester, seated at left, Nicole McGrath, and Ann Jennings, all of Montclair; and Denise Roman of Nutley, standing at left, Melissa Walker and Margot Sage-EL of Montclair, Reginald Hollinger of Essex Fells, and Elisabeth Ginsburg of Glen Ridge. Standing at right are Honorary Chairs Kathleen and Sylvester McClearn of Montclair. Ofira Bondorowsky of Montclair chaired the gala committee, and for the fifth consecutive year Mary Alice Williams of CBS news was the guest presenter.

Visited East Orange Community Charter School at 106 Washington Street to present Oral Health and related Nutrition education to 200 children enrolled in Kindergarten and First Grade. Students, as well as 25 teachers and staff, were each given toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss.

Visited Wahlstrom Academy in East Orange to present Oral Health and related Nutrition Education to 150 children, ages 3 to 6 years, and 22 teachers. Arleen Coyle, Professional Tooth Fairy, joined our team for this visit. All children were given toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss.

KinderSmile Oral Health Programs
Onsite visits are scheduled February through June for various Early Childhood Programs serving infants, toddlers and preschool children in Montclair, East Orange and Orange, as well as a Charter School in East Orange. Services will include dental exam, prophylaxis and topical fluoride treatment. Age-appropriate education on Oral Health and related nutrition will also be presented to children, parents, staff, and caregivers.
