KSCOHC Newark Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On May 2, 2025, we honored KinderSmile Community Oral Health Center Newark at the Boys and Girls Club of Newark with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

We officially unveiled the newly updated Dental Home, where access to oral health care has been provided to BGCN members and the surrounding community since opening our doors in 2019.

Surrounded by community partners, Board members, grantors, donors, and our team, we celebrated a monumental moment of now being able to serve more children and families in the city of Newark, and providing all with crucial access to oral health education and dental care.

We are thankful to our longtime community partner, the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, for seeing the need and value of oral health in underserved areas and for collaborating with us on this important mission.

At the ceremony, we honored Dr. Michael Gruber with a Community Visionary award, Ms. Cynthia Banks with a Community Champion award, and our very own hygienist Monique Whyte with a Community Pillar award. These three individuals have played an instrumental role in our ability to serve the Newark community holistically. This day marked the turning of a new page for KinderSmile Foundation and our continued efforts to bridge the gap in access to oral health care in marginalized communities. #ItTakesAVillageKSF
