We appreciate your support, and are honored that you are a part of the KinderSmile Foundation village!
As a leading nonprofit organization promoting public health dentistry in the state of New Jersey, KinderSmile Foundation leadership continues to advocate for a long lasting change in the landscape of access to oral health care in our state.
New Jersey Medicaid fees have not been increased in 20 years! Compared to the average fees received by dentists nationally, Medicaid fees in New Jersey are at the 10th percentile. Providers like KinderSmile Foundation, who participate and accept all Medicaid plans, only receive a fraction of those approved NJ Medicaid rates.
Unfortunately this is at the expense of our children and families, especially those in marginalized communities who already face barriers and struggle with inequities of social determinants of health.
We had the opportunity to testify before the Department of Human Services’ Budget Listening Session. We thank the Department for giving us the platform to highlight some of the changes that need to take place in our state in order to increase access to oral health care for our children and community.
In this session KinderSmile Foundation continued its advocacy efforts, calling for an increase in Medicaid fees for the 2026 budget. This call to action is another step towards having an adequate provider network to be able to serve our at-risk forgotten communities.
Thank you for your unwavering support! Together, we will continue to invest in our patients and work to ensure that every family has access to a dentist and preventable dental diseases are eradicated. #ItTakesAVillageKSF
